Join Your State Market

Joining your state market is easy.

Just navigate to the State Markets page from the menu. All states are listed in alphabetical order. Not all the states will load on the website, all at once! So, at the bottom of the State Markets list you will see a "Show More" button. Click this button to load more state markets.

Another, quicker way to find your state is to type the name of your state in the search box at the top of the State Market page. Your state should appear after your search. Either way works.

Once you find your state, click the "Join" button on your state. Your State Market should open. If it doesn't automatically open after clicking "Join", click on your state again and it will open.

Now you can scroll through our social media like state market page.

If you are ready to post about your products or services, we would love to see what you offer!

Click "Create Post" near the top of the page. Give your post a Title and then create the main portion of your post in the body section. You can add several clear photos and/or videos. Give everyone details about your products or services such as prices, sizes, colors, flavors, etc... The more details you give to potential buyers, the better.

Very Important! Be aware that you are using a Statewide Marketplace platform. Please give potential buyers a general or specific location of where you sell from! This is super important because if you don't ship your products and you are just selling locally (which is what our platform mainly supports), then your buyers need to know what part of the state you serve! People won't drive 100 miles for a jar of jam. LOL! So please let buyers know where you are.

Also! Give people a way to contact you for a sale! An email, a phone number, a What's App link, a Facebook link. Anything to be able to contact you for a sale! Neighbor Nation provides a Chat feature that shoppers can use to message you. If you are not online, it will create an email and send it to the email you used to sign up to Neighbor Nation. So, check your emails! You will also get these chats on your Notification Page in your member's area when you sign in to your Neighbor Nation account. Customers will also just comment on your posts and ask questions about your stuff. You should get an email stating that you have a new post comment. So, again, check your email! Check your Notification Page! Or you will miss out on a sale.

There are three ways to add your contact and location info. All of them are relevant and important so I would utilize all of them for maximum selling power.

One way is to put your information directly in your posts. This is where shoppers are scrolling through products and services. Putting your location and contact info right in your post is the easiest way to get found by buyers.

Second is your profile page. If a shopper clicks on your name or icon on the top of your post, the website takes them to your Profile Page. Please update this page with all of your info. You can add a general or specific location in the address fields. Add all of your other social media links. Add your phone number if you want contact by call or text. Add your email for contact that way if you prefer. Add your web address if you have a website. And fill out the "About Me" section.

Important Info! Your "About Me" section can have photos and videos added to it if you use a computer or laptop. The mobile version of our website does not support uploading photos or videos to this section. You will have to use a computer or laptop for this feature.

Third is to get your shop or farm put on our Neighbor Maps page. Navigate to the Neighbor Maps page from the site menu. Click the "Add Me To The Map" button. Fill out the form and get a pin on our map in your location along with your shop's listing. Important Info! Obviously, we need your location to add a pin to the map. You will be asked for your location on the form. We have to, AT LEAST, have your city and state for us to add you to the map. Do NOT just put a street name or just a house number and street name! What city are you in? What state are you in? The map only works if you give us the proper information.

Other Important Information: Posts in the state markets do not expire so keep them updated. You can delete or edit your posts right from your member's area in the section labeled "My Groups" and "My Posts". You can create as many posts as you like. There are no limits.
